Now What?

How To Read - Now What

Now that you have deconstructed (taken apart) this text, how might you facilitate its reconstruction (rebuilding)? Which questions deserve to be revisited? Which ones will help in the book’s reconstruction?

At the end of the analysis, we can also reflect on the process and ask ourselves: What did we notice and why? What escaped our notice and why? How did we feel during these readings? What do these feelings communicate to us? What do we need to know to deepen our reading practices? What resources (such as asking people, reading additional books, considering nonliterary texts) do we have to take our learning further? It is important to consider our strategies and lingering questions because they are invitations for new learning.
