Alma Flor Ada is a children's author who has devoted her life to advocacy for peace through pedagogy oriented towards personal realization and social jus­tice. A former Radcliffe Scholar at Harvard University and Fulbright Research Scholar, and current Professor Emeritus at the Univeristy of San Francisco, Alma Flor is an internationally re-known speaker. Her numerous bilingual children’s books of poetry, narrative, folklore and non fiction have won prestigious awards.
